St. James Mission Statement: We, the Parish of St. James, are a family of faith, who worship together and serve God's people through works of compassion, education, justice and peace.
Any time there are revisions to the Protecting God's Children class or revisions are made to the Diocese of Rockford Safe Environment Policies, we will have new revisions to read as well as new signature pages to sign. You will be notified if such updates occur needing our obedience to stay in compliance with the requirements set forth by the Diocese of Rockford.
September 2019 Revisions for Two Safe Environment Policies
All current employees and volunteers will need to click the following links to update their safe environment compliance.
Read Sexual Abuse and Misconduct Norms /documents/2019/9/2019-Sexual-Misconduct-Norms%201.pdf and print and sign the signature page (last page) of the document.Please call the parish office 815-962-1214 and let us know which parish to call and obtain your Safe Environment forms.
The Diocese of Rockford is committed to providing a safe environment for our youth and children in all parishes. At St. James, we abide by the Diocesan Safe Environment Policies and The Charter for Protection of Children and Young People put forth by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. All volunteers age 16 and older are asked to complete the Safe Environment requirements. To see a complete list of the requirements click the link below. Please note: the Background Check Authorization and the Mandated Reporter Form are not required for 16 and 17 year old volunteers.
Once you have completed all of the paperwork and online class please email all signature forms & Protecting God's Children certificate of completion to parishoffice@stjamesrockford.org or mail or bring all the signatures forms & Protecting God's Children certificate of completion to the Parish Office.
